One of the big distributed computing projects is the RC5 key breaking contest put on by the RSA Labs and performed by distributed.net. To participate in te contest, you download the latest distributed.net client, and let it run on your machine(s). The client will then use as much free CPU power as possible to try and crack the key. The faster CPU, the more keys per second your machine can test, therefore I made this page to showcase the different speeds of some of my computers. Other people's test results can be seen here.
