I Overclocked my G3 from 233Mhz to 266Mhz with a simple wire. I read how to do this at XLR8 Your Mac. These scores are Norton Utilities' System info, Longer bars are better.

A very nice increase in speed,10%, for FREE. The only cost is a hotter running processor. At 233Mhz, the highest temperature was 102°F (39°C); at 266Mhz, the highest temperature if 109°F (43°C). Only 4°C is not very much considering all the reports I read that had temperatures over 50°C.

Arbitrary Quote - I finally came up with a punishment for the boy. First, no leaving the house, not even for school. Second, no egg nog. In fact, no nog period! And third, absolutely no stealing for three months!
