These results were achieved before and after optimizing my hard drive with Norton Utilities 4.0. RAM doubler 1.6.2 was running while doing these tests. Shorter times are better.
As you can see, with most operations, optimizing the hard drive sped it up. According to Norton, the drive was only fragmented .2%. This is not that much, but can effect a large hard drive like this alot. These times can add up very quickly.
