The upgrade card used in these tests was a XLR8 MACh Speed G3z 466 MHz. I overclocked it to 500 MHz and set the backside cache at 1 MB. I got it for $506 at HardwareStreet.com on 12/12/1999. These tests are done with Norton Utilities 4.0.3 System Info. Longer bars are better.

As expected, a G3 upgrade speeds up the system trmendously. Even though the disk and video tests didn't increase very much, that is also expected. Also, this shows that and increase in 50MHz in the Backside cache only increases the system performance by about 1-2%. I don't feel that is enough to place extra strain on the cache.
