If you have had to problem with the Mac OS X version of Star Trek Elite Force II in which the night vision goggles don't function properly (it shows a black screen except a flash of green when exiting night view mode), then you have come to the right place! Not only does this issue affect the night vision mode, it also affects the Bio Scan and Trace Gas modes of the tricorder. This problem makes certain parts of the game completely unplayable.
Luckily, the fix is quite easy. There is a strange permissions problem with the Elite Force II folder being in the /Applications or ~/Desktop folder (including all sub folders). Therefore, you will have to move the Elite Force II folder to somewhere that doesn't have this problem. One good candidate (which worked for me) was creating a folder called Games on the main level of the hard drive, and putting the Elite Force II folder in there. After doing that, everything should work properly.
